Customer Bill of Rights

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Ellis Brothers customers are created equal, that they are endowed by the laws and good will of honest and ethical Collision Repair businesses with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Guaranteed Repairs, Proper Paint Jobs and the pursuit of Vehicle Pride.

Customer Bill of Rights

Every customer of Ellis Brothers Collision is guaranteed these customer rights:

  1. You have the right to select an auto body repair facility of your choice.  Your insurance company cannot instruct your where to take your vehicle for repairs.  It is also a state law in Michigan, your car - your choice.
  2. You are not required to take your car to an insurance company's drive-in claim service.  If they need to see the vehicle they can send an adjuster to our (or any) facility to do so.
  3. You have the right to an itemized written estimate of repairs and upon completion of the repairs, a detailed invoice.  The estimate and the invoice should include an itemized list of parts and labor along with the total price for the work performed.  The estimate and invoice will also identify all parts as new, used, aftermarket, re-conditioned or re-built.
  4. You are not required to obtain more than one written estimate.
  5. You have the right to be informed about your deductible, rental coverage, towing & storage fees as they pertain to your claim.
  6. You are entitled to have your vehicle repaired to pre-accident condition.
  7. You may appoint your repair shop to act as your "designated representative" to protect your interest & negotiate a fair claim settlement with your insurance company.
  8. Know that it is against the law for any collision repair facility to bury or absorb a deductible of an insurance policy for a covered automobile.
  9. Remember, we work for you, not your insurance company.
